Understanding Conservation Burial

The Green Burial Council (GBC) sets standards for hybrid cemeteries, natural burial grounds, and conservation burial grounds. A cemetery may be considered ‘green’ or ‘natural’ without being certified by the GBC, however being certified by the GBC provides some assurance that certain standards are being met.
